In our quest to find out the best way to enlarge the penis size we took three groups of volunteers. Each group had three males in the age group of 25-35, all married and willing to add some extra inches. Health wise the chosen volunteers were all of similar health status. We started the trials for three months and noted down the results on the following criteria:

  2. Efficacy
  3. Patient Compliance (ease of use)
  4. and Final Result (after stoppage of the therapy given)

First group was given a commonly used penis enlargement oil (a brand which is advertised almost daily in the newspapers) to be applied locally over the penile shaft as per the instructions of the manufacturer.

Second group of volunteers was advised vacuum pump devises. These are cylindrical devices with vacuum generating properties. They are simply applied to the penis and vacuum is created which pulls the penile tissues.

The third group was given herbal penis enlargement pills for oral use. Here are the findings we got after three months.

  1. Group “A”- (On Penis Enlargement Oil Therapy) : Out of the the three none of the volunteers got any signinificant improvement in their size after three months. In fact the volunteers confessed to have misseed many massage sessions during this period due to non availability of space and family resons. It was also reported that the use of this oil led to a very severe burning sensation and itching over the shaft of the penis. The itching was sometimes so intense that the volunteers had to take medication to get rid of it. They also reported increase in penile nerves sensitivity which led to premature ejaculation at times.
  2. Group “B” – (On Vacuum Pump Device Therapy) : In this case out of the three two volunteers found increase in length of their organ by 1-1.5 inches. No increase in width was noted.  Unfortunately the third volunteer injured his nerve and tissues due to wrong use of the devise. There was severe pain and inflammation in this case and he had no choice but to stop using the device.  UPDATE: Within just two days of stopping this procedure the size of the penis returned to normal. It was found that the increase in size was just the stretching effect of the vacuum and there was no solid tissue development.
  3. Group “C” – (On Herbal Penile Enhancement Pills) : This group was given X-tra Large Penis Enlargement Capsules twice a day for three months without any gap. After completion of the course two of the three volunteers reported excellent growth. They got a whooping 2 and 2.7 inches increase in length respectively. The width in the both the cases also improved by almost 20%. The third volunteer reported slightly lower growth of 1.5 inches but that too was satisfactory for him since he already had 6.5 inches in length. All of the three also reported increase in overall health, energy and stamina. They were able to last longer in bed and much more able to satisfy their partners. UPDATE: Even after three weeks of stopping the medicines there was no decrease in length or width. And the overall performance got even better with time.

Conclusion: This three months trial course of the three different methods led us to the conclusion that penis enlargement oil is the worst of the three methods used for enlargement purpose. Not only there was no significant improvement in length or width but also there were some serious side effects with this. Patient compliance was also the least with oil as it requires lot of time and effort. The vacuum device scored second in terms of increase in length but there was no improvement in width with this. Also the enlargement was more of an elongation or stretching which comes back to normal as soon as you stop this. This method also requires adequate training and precaution before use otherwise it may damage the nerves and tissues.

Oral penis enlargement supplements topped the charts in almost all spheres. There was significant increase in length and girth along with improvement in overall health and sexual function.

So if you are thinking of using penis enlargement oil in near future, think twice. Look for better, safer and more effective options.

5. 80% of the patients get trapped by these fake sites and get to consume the adulterated medicines. Since these medicines have harmful chemicals, heavy metals and allopathic medicines in them which may produce serious side effects to the patient including permanently damaging the reproductive system and causing impotence or low testosterone levels and low sperm counts etc. This is the reason why there is a general perception being made in the mind of people that all the ayurvedic or herbal sex enhancement medicines cause impotence / dependence or low sperm count.

Sex is an integral part of our lives. Just like we need food to satisfy our appetite, we need to have healthy sex to satisfy our soul. Our sex life starts at the time of puberty which is typically 12-14 years in India. But the end of our sex life is not uniform. Some people continue enjoying their sex life actively till 60-70 years of age while some people find it hard to have sex just after crossing 50. Recently I came across an article in the Times of India about a 105 year old man in Rajasthan who became the proud father of a son. This was like a miracle for most of us but he was confident. I read his interview in which he confessed to have been enjoying sex regularly even at this age.

So why actually we have such diverse sex lives? There are so many reasons, and frankly speaking we can not avoid most of them. Yes it is a fact. We have to face each and every thing in our life, we have to look after our family, we have to work 9-5 and we have to perform our social duties. We can not just run away from all this. But wouldn’t it be great if we could alter our habits a bit and follow some simple tips to enjoy sex even at old age. Below I am giving a list of 10 simple but mostly overlooked tips which if followed properly will help you live a more sexually active life :

1. Proper Diet : Proper nutritious diet is essential for sexual health. Not only sexual health but overall health and well being.  Diet rich is mucilage, starch and protein is specially helpful for proper functioning of the sexual organs till old age. Almond, Dates, Coconut water, fish, chicken, egg, paneer, mango and banana are specially recommended for sexual well being. Some of the spices used in Indian kitchens like Jawitri, Jaiphal, Long etc are also used in sex enhancement medicines since ancient times. Milk and honey are regarded as the heavenly nectar for sexual health. Including these items in your dietary habits can take you long way to enjoy sex till old age. Also you should avoid highly spiced food item, fast food, packaged foods and processed food items.

Just a 15 minutes yoga, meditation and brisk walking is all that required to maintain your health, specially sexual health. Walking is a very good exercise in particular because it increases the strength and blood flow to the lower part of the body. I personally don’t advice heavy weight lifting to even the youngsters because I have seen so many cases where the person actually harmed himself rather than doing anything good for his health. So in short, brisk walking, cycling, yoga and meditation is all you need to be sexually active till old age.

3. Sound Sleep : A sound sleep of 8-10 hours is essential for your body. and sex is nothing separate. The negative effects of less sleep are not comparable to anything else. So if you are not sleeping enough, chances are that your sexual energy is going to be lost quickly than it should. For people doing night-shifts and rotational duties the risk of developing sexual dysfunctions and depression is much higher than those who work regular 9-5 job.

4. Maintain a healthy relationship : Most of us often overlook the importance of warmth, bonding, respect and faith in our relationships. Specially men tend to be more casual in relationships. 5. Meditation : Meditation is very good for your mind and body. Take time to meditate at least half an hour a day.  Now this is one thing whose benefits can not be explained but can only be felt. You must start mediation to believe what I say. There are many forms of meditation, Yoga, Pranayam, Dhyan, Prayer, Namaz or simply closing your eyes and feeling you are lost in a black room are all different forms of meditation. Choose your preferred form of mediation and feel the difference.

6. Keep yourself happy : Now this is very simple yet most overlooked philosophy. Keep your cool all the time. Don’t get angry over small things. A warm and angry mind always thinks about destructive things while a calm and serene mind always thinks about constructive things. There are so many benefits of being happy that a separate article can be written about this only. When your mind is happy you produce more endorphins, dopamine and testosterone which is responsible for healthy functioning of the reproductive system.

7. Say no to alcohol : Most people drink alcohol in moderation and say that its not harmful. This is a totally wrong perception. Even minute quantities of alcohol taken over a long period of time cause serious side effects. I have also come across many people who take alcohol as a sex booster. Remember, alcohol can temporarily increase your pleasure and increase time period but over time its going to loose its effect and you are bound to increase the consumption dosage to get the desired results. Actually the truth is as soon as we take our first step in adolescence, the first thing we hear about sexual fantasies is about trying masturbation. Most of the kids have no idea of what they are doing but just out of curiosity they try it out. And once they try masturbation by their own the sheer excitement and the heavenly experience just keeps them trying it again and again. This becomes a habit over time which becomes so hard to quit that some people find more pleasure in masturbation than actual intercourse with a lady.

Being a sexologist most of the time I am asked by people about the effects of masturbation. I know most the people have questions in their mind whether doing masturbation is harmful for health specially sexual health. Well there two answers to this question : “Yes” and “No”.

No because everyone do it and not everyone gets into sexual dysfunctions just because of masturbation. You believe it or not but everyone does it. I have not come even a single male in my whole life who has never done or at least tried it. Then why do some people develop the complications while others may never see any problem ever in their life. Is there any thing that specifically targets some people and not others? Is it a psychological thing as claimed by many psychologists? Is it really the guilt and depression and the social stigma which is killing our libido or is it really the consequence of masturbation? Read on to find out…..

I have read many newspapers where they appoint some psychologist to answer their readers queries related to sexual dysfunctions. Firstly I dont understand why psychologists are regarded as the doctors who treat sexual dysfunctions? Psychology is a totally different discipline than sexology. I guess this is because there is no sexology course yet introduced in India, so the load has been taken over by the psychologists. Whatever the scene may be, I have a really strong opposition to their belief that it is the psychological stigma and guilt after masturbation which damages our sexual life. I totally disagree with this. There is no major depression or psychological factor associated with hand practice that may cause such sever case of premature ejaculation or even impotence in patients. The depression and guilt felt after hand practice is just temporary and doesn’t last for even up to a few hours. So the point of chronic or persistent depression and sexual dysfunctions does not arise. This is evident from the fact that the person doesn’t think twice before again doing it on the next day.

Masturbation does not cause sexual problems at all if done in moderation. By limitations I mean once or twice a week will not do any harm to your body or mind. It may lead to serious consequences if you follow any of the following characters :

  1. Doing it in excess. Once or twice a week is OK but anything above this may be harmful. This is because you are loosing your precious semen continuously. Since most of the times people start doing masturbation in their early age, production of semen and sperms is not as evident as it is in an adult person. This leads to a negative semen deficit which may be felt by young people by the fact that sometimes they don’t ejaculate semen after doing it even for long time.
  2. The social factor : Since masturbation is considered to be taboo in our society we develop a sense of fear in our mind that its not right. We always have the fear of being caught by parents or guardians. This forces us to try to do it as fast and quickly as possible. This way our nerves and mind gets trained to ejaculate as quickly as possible. Sometimes without even proper stimulation. This leads to premature ejaculation and semen leakage problem.
